Philly Fat Con Session in Rittenhouse Square

Similar to getting junk mail in my real mailbox, I find that I get emails that I’m expecting or junk. There’s rarely anything in my inbox that surprises me. However, the email from Philly Fat Con asking me to do branding photos for their launch was truly a surprise. (Thanks to our mutual friends at Philly Women’s Collective for connecting us!)

Philly Fat Con is Philly’s first fat-focused convention being held on October 28th and 29th, 2023. They are going to have speakers, vendors, events, and so much more. Not only is the event going to be awesome, but I can’t say enough about founders and organizers Donnelle, Adrienne, and Kenyetta. Working with an established group can sometimes be an unpredictable dynamic, but these three were so welcoming and warm and made me feel like we had been friends forever.

• Donnelle is the creator and organizer of Philly’s Plus Swap and Shop. The Plus Swap and Shop holds events where you can swap clothes, meet new friends, and have a great time! Look fabulous, create community, and be sustainable while you do it!
• Adrienne is the founder and owner of Curve Conscious. Curve Conscious is a new and used plus-sized resale shop that sells both virtually and at select in person events. You can add some new pieces to your wardrobe all while thrifting from the comfort of your own home – or in person, if you’re lucky enough to catch them out and about!
• Kenyetta is the founder and owner of Curvy and Seductive. Curvy and Seductive offers lingerie exclusively for full-figured women who aim to cultivate their femininity and sensuality. Their offerings are updated seasonally so there are always new options for you to add to your collection.

Tickets for Philly Fat Con are going on sale in August, however, they have already started announcing the vendor line-up. I am SO excited to say that I will be there, camera in hand and with a portrait station set up ready for your content needs. Want a professional photo that captures what a badass you are? Done. Are you coming to dressed to impress and want it memorialized? Absolutely. Or maybe you just want to remember you and your friends (new or old) having a great time at this epic event. I’ll be there to take care of it for you.
